You can now ask a question or leave feedback beneath a video Post. Comments
support @mentions and timestamps, and notifications let people know when
someone replies.
Turn comments on for the Topics where you want students to discuss their work. They can continue the exchange in writing without recording another video.
Use comments for follow-up
Space admins can turn on comments in a Topic's settings. Members can then reply beneath Posts they have access to, including their own pending Posts.
Use comments to:
- ask a follow-up question after a student explanation
- let peers identify a strong choice or unresolved point
- invite the author to clarify or revise an idea
- continue a discussion without requiring another recording

Point to the exact moment
When a video is playing, a commenter can include its current timestamp. The timestamp becomes a link back to that moment.
Use a timestamp when you want a student to revisit a claim, a word, or a step in a demonstration. They can select the link and replay the part you mean.
Bring the right person back
Use an @mention in a comment or Post description to notify a Space member.
The Post author is already notified about comments on their Post; mentions
are useful when you are replying to someone else or inviting them to join the
conversation.
The notification bell now gathers activity across Spaces, including:
- mentions
- comments on a Post
- new Topic posts for administrators
- Space join requests
- membership approvals
Selecting an item returns to the relevant Space, Topic, Post, or comment.
Choose when email should arrive
In notification settings, choose how often to receive email for each type of activity: right away, every three hours, daily, weekly, or never. Digests group updates and follow your time zone.
You can still check the notification bell when email is turned off.
Choose which Topics need discussion
Turn comments on when you want questions and replies. You can use them for class discussion on published Posts or private feedback on pending Posts. Leave them off when the activity only needs a recording.
Each Topic has its own setting, so you can choose separately for each assignment.
Create a free Space and turn comments on for the first Topic where a follow-up question would help.
